Follow-ups

Stopping follow-ups on a quote

Follow-ups stop when the customer answers on the link. There is no cancel button, so here is what to do when a customer says yes by phone.

A follow-up sequence ends when the customer presses Accept this quote or No thanks on the link. That cancels every reminder still to go. There is no button in the dashboard to cancel a sequence by hand.

So if a customer rings you to say yes, ask them to press Accept on the link as well. It takes them a few seconds, it records the acceptance with the date, and it stops the reminders. Most customers do it on the spot while you are still on the phone.

If a customer says no by phone, ask them to press No thanks on the link, which moves the quote to Lost and stops the reminders too. If they will not, the remaining reminders will go out; after the third, at ten days, nothing more is sent.

If you want to be sure a quote is never followed up, do not press the button in the first place. A sent quote with no sequence sits under Waiting on the customer until the customer answers, and nothing is emailed.

If you sent a quote in error, there is no recall. Email the customer from your own address to say it is withdrawn, and do not press the follow-up button.

Did this answer it? If not, write to us and a person replies within one business day.
