Where your quotes live and who can see them

The application runs on Vercel, in its Sydney region once live. The database is on Supabase, also in Sydney. Backups are taken daily. Your data stays in Australia except where a provider named on this page processes it elsewhere as part of doing its job; the privacy page says which.

Card details never touch Quote Desk. Starter and Crew are paid through Stripe: checkout happens on a Stripe-hosted page, and the Update card form in Billing is Stripe's own card entry embedded in our page. We see that a payment succeeded or failed; we never see the card number.

Quote emails, follow-ups, welcome emails and password notices are sent through Postmark. The six-digit code at sign-up is sent to your mobile through Vonage. Customers are never texted. Quote emails go from hello@talkofthetrade.com.au in your business name, with replies routed to your own address once you have confirmed it.

A password is ten characters or more, and we store only a hash of it. You can sign in with a password or with a link emailed to you. Changing your password signs out every other device and sends a notice to your confirmed email. A sign-in link lets you set a new password within fifteen minutes without the old one, which is the recovery path.

Each sent quote has a long random token in its link. The page shows the quote to anyone holding the link and nothing else: not your other quotes, not your price list, not your account. A draft has no working link. Accepting or declining is recorded once; a second press changes nothing.

On Free, the consent you tick is recorded with the exact sentence shown, its version, the time, your IP address and browser. Withdrawal is recorded the same way and stops the email and phone marketing. Starter and Crew record no marketing consent. The partner who may contact you is named on the partners page, which is linked from the consent box.

It never sells your data. It never texts your customers. It never puts anything of ours on the page your customer reads beyond the Quote Desk name in its header and footer. It never changes, sells or badges a listing on Talk of the Trade; the directory's rankings are by review count and Quote Desk has no connection to them. It never takes a card number itself.
