Account and sign-in

Confirming your email address, and why it matters for quotes

Until your email is confirmed, customer replies cannot reach you and the accept page only offers your mobile. Here is how to confirm it.

After sign-up a welcome email arrives with a link. Open it while you are logged in and press Confirm my email; your address is confirmed. The Account page shows your email with confirmed beside it; before that it says not confirmed yet.

Opened on a device where you are not logged in, the link still confirms the address, but it clears the password set at sign-up and signs every device out, because only the mailbox was proved, not the account. If that happens, sign in with a link and set a new password under Account.

Two things depend on it.

Replies. Quote emails and follow-ups go out from hello@talkofthetrade.com.au in your business name. Once your email is confirmed, a customer who presses reply writes to you. Until it is confirmed, there is no reply address, and a reply goes nowhere.

The accept page. At the bottom it tells the customer how to ask a question. With a confirmed email it says reply to the email this quote came with, or call your business on your mobile. Without one it only offers the mobile.

If you cannot find the welcome email, check spam, then ask for a sign-in link from the login page. Signing in with a link confirms the address as well, since only the owner of the inbox could have opened it.

Your mobile is confirmed at sign-up by the text code, so there is nothing more to do for it. It is the number shown to customers, so keep it as the one you answer.

Did this answer it? If not, write to us and a person replies within one business day.
