Enquiries

Adding an enquiry by hand

For jobs that came by phone, text or a knock at the door, type the enquiry in so the quote starts with the right details.

On the Enquiries page, open Add an enquiry by hand. Four fields: customer name, email, phone, and What they asked for. Only the last one is required, but fill in the email if you have it, because the quote needs an email address to send to.

Press Save enquiry. The enquiry appears at the top of the list with the name you typed, the date, and the message. It has a Quote this button like any other enquiry.

A pasted enquiry counts as one against your monthly enquiry limit, the same as a forwarded email.

Use it for the phone call you took on the roof, the text message a customer sent to your mobile, and the neighbour who stopped you in the driveway. Paste or type what they asked for while it is fresh. When you build the quote, their words sit above the form so you price what they actually asked for.

If you only have a phone number and no email, save the enquiry anyway and ask for the email when you ring back. The quote cannot be sent without one.

Did this answer it? If not, write to us and a person replies within one business day.
